About Rosienid Pere:
Rosienid is the founder and President of “Puerto Rican Women Fine Arts Association” (PWFAA), President of Publicity of Puerto Rico Watercolor Association. Oils, watercolors and acrylics of brilliant colors—which are a stimuli for the enjoyment and preservation of the beauty of her Island, Puerto Rico—are part of corporate and private collections in United States, Puerto Rico and other countries.
Rosienid studied at Western College for Women, (Miami University) Oxford, Ohio and received her B.A. and M.A.E. at Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. She has been a Professor of Chemistry, Superintendent of Schools, Director of the District Art Program and University Professor of Graduate and Post Graduate Programs of Education.
She is a member of Ponce Museum, National Museum of Women in the Arts, American Watercolor Society, Mississippi Watercolor Society, National Oil and Acrylic Painters (NOAPS), Associated Artists Winston and Salem and Long Beach Arts Association.
Rosienid Pere’s work:
Rosienid exhibits in galleries and museums around the world, including Museum of the Americas. She is displayed in Miami, North Carolina, New York, California, Venezuela, Spain, Austria and Puerto Rico. She has exhibited in juried and judged National and International Competitions.
Her paintings have been published in Direct Art Magazine, New Art International Magazine, New Art International Book , 100 Contemporary International Artists published by The European Communities Artists Library and in “El Vocero de Puerto Rico”, The San Juan Star and “La Estrella de Puerto Rico.”
In 2004, she received an award in the National Competition, “Women as National Creators” in Long Beach Arts Gallery, California. At an exhibition in Rincón, Puerto Rico, her painting “La Loncherita” was awarded “The Best Watercolor” and “Se nos van las mariposas” (an oil painting) received “The Visitors Favorite Award.” She represented Puerto Rico in “The First Group Exhibit of Hispano Americans Watercolorists” with the participation of artists from 19 countries.
